Skills, schooling and care that rebuild lives — and the wetlands they depend on.
Since 2018, Buyinja Butoole Rehabilitation Centre has trained young people in practical trades and worked alongside our parish in education, welfare, healthcare and conservation education — including for the shoebill and the wildlife of our wetlands.

Nine ways we serve the parish
Practical, education, welfare and conservation work chosen because our community asked for it — not a template of what a nonprofit is supposed to offer.
Founded by the parish, for the parish
Buyinja Butoole Rehabilitation Centre is a registered community-based organisation established in 2018 by the Catholic Church administration of Buyinja Butoole Catholic Parish. It was set up to offer education, social welfare, healthcare and development services to the poor, and to the children and youth of our parish.
Vocational training gives that mission a practical edge: young people learn a trade they can build a livelihood on, while our education, welfare, healthcare, environmental and conservation programmes support the wider community they come from.
“Established to offer education, social welfare, healthcare and development services to the poor, and to the children and youth of our parish.”
